Drone Photography Rules for Real Estate Near the Daytona Beach Speedway
August 21, 2026Ormond Beach has some of the most photogenic inventory in Volusia County — oceanfront condos along A1A, riverfront homes near the Halifax, and shaded mid-century neighborhoods further inland. Each of those needs a different approach to sell well in photos.
Oceanfront condos
The view is the product. Wide-angle interior shots that keep the horizon level and the water visible through every window matter more here than in any other property type. A twilight shot from the balcony, with interior lights on and the sky still holding color, consistently outperforms a daytime-only gallery for oceanfront listings.
Riverfront and dock properties
Aerial drone photography earns its cost on riverfront listings — it’s the only way to show a dock, seawall, and the property’s position on the water in a single image. We shoot these with an FAA Part 107 certified pilot, which also matters near the flight-restricted areas closer to the Speedway.
Inland and historic neighborhoods
Mature oak canopy and older architecture photograph best with attention to natural light — shooting through the morning or late afternoon rather than midday avoids the dappled shadow patterns that canopy streets can create.
